Foilex TDS Skimmers are designed for
harbor, coastal, and offshore oil spill recovery.
They are equipped with efficient, low-speed, onboard
TDS pumps that use patented Twin Disc Archimedes Screw
technology that delivers up to 70% higher recovery
capacity than traditional screw pumps. TDS Skimmers
are available in two versions:
TDS Skimmers: free-floating screw-pump
skimmer with a three-pontoon frame
TDS Crane Skimmers: nonfloating screw-pump
skimmer head suitable for shallow water
TDS Skimmers are hydraulically driven,
powered by Foilex hydraulic powerpacks or by available
ship's hydraulics. We provide suitable hose packages
for connecting the skimmers and powerpacks.
TDS Skimmers handle all types of spills,
from light diesel fuel to heavy crude oil. Strong
cutting knives in the pump intakes handle most types
of debris commonly found in oil spills.
Shallow-draft weir skimmer head
for use with crane from vessel or shoreline.
Similar to the TDS 150 Coast Skimmer (above),
but without pontoons. Integral, hydraulic-drive,
