Foilex portable Mini and Micro Skimmers are suction skimmers without an onboard pump and are available in two different versions.

• Mini and Micro Skimmers: free floating 3-pontoon skimmers
  
• Mini and Micro Well Skimmers: skimmer heads for fixed installations in ships or tanks

Compact, portable recovery units for small to medium size oil spills in harbors, rivers and lakes. The well skimmers are typically used for fixed installations in oil collectors and industrial separators. Both skimmer types must be used in combination with an external vacuum pump with suction capacities from 22–132 gal/min (5–30 m3/hr).

Foilex Mini Skimmer

The Foilex Mini Skimmer is a free-floating suction skimmer with a 3-pontoon flotation frame. It is a suction weir type skimmer that is operated in combination with any type of external vacuum pump with a 22–132 gal/min (5–30 m3/hr) capacity. The system consists of:

• Skimmer head
• Suction hose
• External pump unit
• Discharge hose

The Mini Skimmer is equipped with a Foilex self-adjusting "skimmer ring" which controls the skimming depth by the pump suction flow. The "skimmer ring" lip will always stay parallel to the oil/water surface. Suitable oil layer thickness is 0-30 mm. Best performance for the Mini Skimmer is achieved in light to medium viscosity oils. The debris capability is dependent on the type of vacuum pump used but the skimmer is equipped with a rinsing net at the inlet side.

Foilex Micro Skimmer

The Foilex Micro Skimmer is a free-floating suction skimmer with a three-pontoon flotation frame. It is a suction weir type skimmer that is operated in combination with any type of external vacuum pump with a 0–65 gal/min capacity. The system consists of:

• Skimmer head
• Suction hose
• External pump unit
• Discharge hose

The Micro Skimmer is equipped with a Foilex self-adjusting skimmer ring that controls the skimming depth by adjusting the suction pump flow. The skimmer ring lip always stays parallel to the oil/water surface. Suitable oil layer thickness is 0–1.2 inches (0–30 mm). Best performance for the Micro Skimmer is achieved in light to medium viscosity oils. Debris capability is dependent on the type of vacuum pump used, but the skimmer is equipped with a strainer at the inlet side.
